My Story

Writing has always been essential to me—something as natural as breathing. My journey began in fourth grade, when a teacher predicted I would one day become a writer, sparking a lifelong devotion to storytelling and the characters who feel like family.

For many years, I worked as a teacher, sharing stories with primary and middle school students gathered in quiet circles, eyes wide with anticipation. My work now ranges from imaginative children’s stories to richly textured historical fiction for adult readers.

I served on the Board of Directors for the Space Coast Writers Guild  from 2024-2026, and I am an active member of National PEN Women, the Brevard Authors Society, and several local writing groups. I  also spent years volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, believing deeply in the power of community—on and off the page. In addition to writing, I work as an editor and publishing consultant, supporting fellow writers through every stage of the publishing journey.

As a mother and grandmother, I believe deeply in the power of stories to connect generations. I live on Florida’s Atlantic coast with my longtime partner and beloved, very large black dog. A former chef, I love cooking, watching cooking shows, building my library, photographing wildlife, and celebrating the successes of fellow writers.

Whether you’re a reader, writer, or fellow creative, I’d love to hear from you. Click on 'Contact' to send a message or to inquire about speaking engagements and editorial services.
