My Story
Writing has always been essential to Lynda DuBois—something as natural as breathing. Her journey began in fourth grade, when a teacher predicted she would one day become a writer, sparking a lifelong devotion to storytelling and the characters who feel like family.
For many years, Lynda worked as a teacher, sharing stories with primary and middle school students gathered in quiet circles, eyes wide with anticipation. Her work now ranges from imaginative children’s stories to richly textured historical fiction for adult readers.
Lynda serves on the Board of Directors for the Space Coast Writers Guild and is an active member of National PEN Women, the Brevard Authors Society, and several local writing groups. She has also spent years volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, believing deeply in the power of community—on and off the page. In addition to her writing, she works as an editor and publishing consultant, supporting fellow writers through every stage of the publishing journey.
As a mother and grandmother, she believes deeply in the power of stories to connect generations. She lives on Florida’s Atlantic coast with her longtime partner and one beloved, very large black dog. A former chef, she loves cooking, watching cooking shows, building her library, photographing wildlife, and celebrating the successes of fellow writers.
